I need a vacation!

well, the summer is almost over. school starts on monday, which means i won't have 5 kids in my house anymore!! yipee! i feel like i have so much more freedom! :) it was a tough summer. i don't think i'll ever commit to something like that again...it was just too much. i did make enough money for a new embroidery machine though.

we are headed off to the beach. not the pretty beaches of alabama or florida, but the yucky beaches of galveston. my mil has a bunch of timeshares, and she traded and got us a week at Escapes! in galveston. the name is funny. why would anyone put an exclamation point at the end of just one word? we'll be way down on the island. hopefully the sand is cleaner and the water is prettier down there...i know, it's not going to be, but we can hope. dan and i joked that maybe since the place has a private beach that they truck white sand in and clean the seaweed out of the water every day. right. :) it'll be nice not to be at home though. i looked at the website, and the pool looks really nice. that'll be fun. we are all looking forward to doing all the touristy things.
