Fizzbo

well, it's done. the for sale sign is in the yard - fsbo. i think we are wasting precious time trying to sell it ourselves, but we'll see. we have not spent a lot of time/money fixing the place up. all we've really done is paint the hallway, our bathroom and touched up some places here and there. we did powerwash the concrete outside; man that was a disgusting job. i highly recommend homeowners to do that more than once every 5 years! you would not believe the yuck that came up - but we do have beautiful white concrete again!! i cleaned the carpets today while the kids were at MDO. we have our own steamer, that helped, but most likely we'll have to knock off something off for a carpet allowance. the summer of popsicles seems to have put a few dark stains in the carpet. we have an entire storage room packed up with a lot of our furniture - we tried hard to make the house look big. hopefully the little we've done will pay off. we do have pinkish colored countertops in the kitchen, and pinkish colored tiles in the master bath...dan always tells me things like color are not deal breakers. i hope the people who are looking remember that! :)

there is a house we looked at last week that i really like - 5 bedrooms with both formals, a great backyard with a wodden play thingy and a huge patio. i could have my own sewing room!!! i want to sell this house in a hurry before another family snags our #1 pick. below are some of the pics on our flyer.

Is this your house? or the one you like? it looks nice, either way, like it's not even lived in. How long has the one you like been on the market? When we sold ours it took about 6 months, which we were told was very average - that is what it is taking here too. I imagine it's not like that there though - a lot bigger city. I was ready to have a panic attack because we were already building and needed to get that baby sold.

the pics are of our house. the one we like has been on the market for about 2.5 months. houses in our area normally sell in 6 weeks or less. we are hoping for less so we can snatch that other house!

Very impressive. It doesn't look like anyone lives there, especially a family with two active kiddos! That is exciting that you found a house.

Does the new house still have a place for the guest futon?
