Our little monkey

elliot is our little monkey. he's mastered climbing the stairs, so now he's moved on to climbing from thing to thing to get as high as he can. normally when he starts to climb up something we get him real quick and tell him no, but a couple of weeks ago we just decided to see how high he could go. he got in his toy basket, climbed on the toys to the ottoman, got on a chair and started pulling himself up to climb on the counter. we stopped him, of course. i don't want him thinking getting on the counter is okay! if he's in the pack-n-play and wants out he scales the side. he can get up to his chest. we've already had to put the exersaucer away; he got out of it too many times. i guess the pack-n-play is next. i'll probably never be able to leave the room again!! he's quick too. i guess he's ready to be a big boy. he's taken about 4 steps. sometimes he'll stand up, and take a couple of steps too fast and fall down. he looks a little puzzled, like he's totally surprised he fell. we need to get that on camera. it's like he's thinking -- man, i thought i was walking!

anyway, the kids and i met daniel at a park in webster friday. it was a very beautiful day! elliot had a great time. here's our little monkey showing off!!
